Friends United in Rescue, Inc
A 501(c)3 non profit organization
Our mission is to advocate and care for cats in need.
Our Programs
Our various programs work to ensure that every cat in our community has a chance to live the best life possible.
We are proud to be a foster based rescue, but being foster based means we always need more fosters! Our Tiny Tigers Foster Program is full of compassionate humans who care for the tiniest and most vulnerable lives. Whether you are experienced in neonates or are new to the foster world, we have a need for you!
When cats are surrendered by their owners, they often go through various stages of grief, similar to the way we grieve when someone we love, dies. With grief, comes stress which is why we work hard to make sure each cat in our care is comfortable. We offer a cage free environment with around the clock attention. This program is available on a first come, first serve basis to owners who have exhausted all other resources in their efforts to rehome their cat(s).
Does your property have a mice or gopher problem ?
Look no further, we have the perfect remedy for you!
Our unadoptable cats will work to protect your property in exchange for safe shelter, food and water.
All you need is a safe spot, like a tack room or enclosed outbuilding to acclimate these workers for
a minimum of 3-4 weeks before allowing them on the job. All workers come spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
OUR NUMBERS
What all these efforts have done
Have your pets gone missing due to a natural disaster?
If so we are here to help. We have disaster reunification teams in various Northern California counties that are ready to assist you once evacuation orders have been lifted.
We specialize in reunification efforts and use high tech equipment to get your pets to safety.
To date, we have successfully reunited hundreds of pets post disaster in areas that were destroyed by the Camp Fire, North Complex Fire, Zogg Fire and many more.
